Halsey will be hosting its second Virtual Hack-a-Thon! Our Computers teacher, Mrs. Elfers has put together another Halsey Hack-A-Thon! What is a Hack-a-Thon? A Hack-a-Thon is an event, usually hosted by a tech company or organization, or HALSEY, where programmers get together for a short period of time to collaborate on a project.
The Hackathon will take place on two separate days over the February Break. The first day on Friday, February 12th, we will go over the topic and problem that the Hack-a-Thon will address and give ideas on how to use Scratch or P5 to solve the “issue/problem.” We will also have some time to work on these games/programs. On Monday, February 15th, we will have more time to work on the games/programs and then devise a presentation and present our programs. The judges will vote on the best solutions/games/programs and the winners will be announced!
