Where did you go to school?

I received my undergraduate from St. John’s University, my Master’s from Stony Brook University, and my post-masters from Queens College.

How long have you been at Halsey?

I actually started at Halsey in Feb of 2006. I wound up with Ms. Hoffman’s program because she moved to the SAVE room.

What would you be doing if you were not a teacher?

If I weren’t a teacher, I would have made it my goal to work at NASA.

Why did you get into education?

I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I’ve always loved working with children and I wanted to share my love of learning in hopes of inspiring them to love it too!

What is your favorite thing about being a teacher?

Summer!! Hehe. My most favorite thing about being a teacher has to be when former students come to visit. We develop bonds with so many of our students, and when I get an unexpected visitor I am so excited to learn where life has taken them!

Any hobbies or interests that we do not know you would like to share?

I love to garden; my house plants are part of the family! I love to cook hibachi on our new flat top grill! I’m looking into rescuing a goat (just need more property first)! AND! I’m getting married in June 2022 so planning is awesome!!
