What is MathCON? MathCON is a nonprofit national mathematics organization recognized for its annual student mathematics competition for grades 5-12.

Why Participate in MathCON? MathCON gives students the opportunity to compete against other students (in their own grades) across the nation! Last year, more than 50,000 students from 400 schools participated in the online MathCON competition. Of those 50,000 students, 1 percent (576 students) advanced to finals in Chicago, Ill., where many of them received scholarships and recognition within their schools and communities.

The students who qualified by scoring in the 99th percentile are
7th grade – Matthew Ferencz and William Vongphanith
8th grade – Timothy Wang and Rena Chen

Everyone here at Halsey JHS 157 are extremely proud of Matthew, William, Timothy and Rena!
